Step 1: Get in the water

I procrastinated it as long as I could. It's officially been one week in the pool for me so now I'm officially training for "all three" sports. I don't really feel different..a little more sore and tired I guess but that's it. The hardest part has been waking up at 5:30am to get to the pool- I may need to rethink that strategy. It only took me one day of swimming to mess up my shoulder, though. Figures! I have crashed more than a few times over the years and have had some nagging shoulder issues. It looks like it's time to address them. With some therapy from GA Sports Chiro and the "other" O'Day..a.k.a. Continuum Kyle and some rotator cuff exercises I should be all fixed up in the next few days. In the meantime I've just been working on my kicking and breathing..I thought I'd actually be good at the kicking part but..no, I'm not! This swimming thing is definitely going to take some work but at least I am enjoying it. It does make me appreciate the running, biking, and yoga though..I am actually relieved that I can actually *do* those sports without over-thinking every little thing.

Next step..hire a swim coach. Hopefully I begin to progress a bit quicker from that point onwards. I should take a before and after pic of my shoulders..there's not much muscle there now but maybe..just maybe there is hope for me!
