TGI the long weekend

I can't believe it's already been almost two weeks since Lumberjack 100 and my vacation. Recovery has been slow after this last race. My legs have not felt great, my ribs have been really sore, and I have been just generally tired and still sad about Bob. It has been over two weeks since he went missing. I think about him every day, I check craigslist 24/7 (BTW, if you are not convinced that 99.9% of the population is incredibly stupid, then just spend some time reading craigslist!!!), follow up with shelters, vet clinics..and I think about him every night when I go to bed hoping that I will wake up to good news in the morning..but so far..nothing.

I don't know if I've ever experienced something quite like this. I feel like he is still alive somewhere..I just wish I knew. The not knowing is really hard but I am still believing that someone will do the right thing and turn him in..hopefully soon.

I love you, Bob!

We got new cameras from Epic Cam a couple weeks ago and have been playing around with them. The issue for us is that we don't have a Mac so it's tough to edit the raw footage. For some reason Windows Movie Maker on my ancient computer doesn't recognize mp4 files. Aaargh. I was able to upload this short one to facebook, though. I have all sorts of ideas for cool videos..they are coming, I promise! I love the camera, though. It's really easy to use and the footage comes out really well. My teammates Jeff Kerkove and Yuki have already posted up some good stuff.

Oh, and Danielle and I started a new blog about food. Check it out..Danielle is out in California with no wireless connection so she hasn't started updating it yet..but check back soon, and often.

This weekend we are heading up to Mulberry Gap to ride (and eat) for 3 days in Ellijay, GA. I am planning on doing some solo training and hopefully some fun group rides, also. Last weekend I couldn't keep up on the group ride..my ribs hurt so bad I couldn't breathe when I tried to go hard so hopefully this weekend is better! Have a happy and safe 4th of July.
