ORAMM coming
ORAMM. One of the legendary races of the Southeast. 65'ish miles with long gravel road climbs and awesome east-coast technical singletrack descents.
I procrastinated my registration too long but luckily I found a last-minute entry!
The women's field is stacked..of course. It always is. Oddly, though, I'm not really nervous for this race at all. I love riding up there so much that I'm really just looking forward to the singletrack and hoping that I have some "climbing legs" for the day. I have done this race once before, when I was pretty much a beginner mountain biker in 2005. I'm hoping to cut off some time from that particular day :) I did find my race report here..it was fun to go back and read! Man, that seems like a long time ago! We all look really young. And, notice the long life of my black Chaco sandals..that's the same pair I still wear now! Impressive..or, that means that they are completely out of style.
