new bike! new bike!

I finally got to ride my 2010 Rotwild yesterday. It's been a long process getting everything together between the build-up, tuning, and fitting everything to the Wobble-naught specs...all while there has been a lot of travel and work craziness going on.

Alas..here it is

I took it out on the first trail ride yesterday. Even though we applied my fit to the new bike, it handles quite differently. There have been some geometry changes but I like them.

I went out for a pre-ride on the BURN 24 hour race course and aside from the fine tuning of the suspension I think it is ready to race! The Sram 2x10 is really clean and makes a real difference in the shifting and the weight, I think. I have done lots of laps on this course in the past but the trails keep getting better and better thanks to the guys at the Brushy Mountain Cycling Club. They were hard at work yesterday getting rid of some of the muddy sections. Thanks, guys.

Today we are hanging out, drinking coffee, prepping bikes and equipment, then going for another pre-ride. I plan to have the suspension dialed after this ride. Then, it's time to charge some lights!
