Southeast ACSM Conference and SEE-ME

I just spent 2 days in Greenville, SC for the Southeast ACSM conference. Not only is it a good opportunity for networking, it's also a chance to see all the newest research coming out from the Nutrition and Exercise related university labs in our region. I will say that I learned of some very interesting new quercetin and caffeine research..some of which will be a good complement for what we are doing over in our lab.

Unfortunately, I also finally caught the cold that has been brewing for a couple weeks. It's been a stressful couple weeks with exams, presentations, work, etc. and my workout on Wed. was absolutely horrible..couldn't get my HR up or legs to move. So, I guess it makes sense that I woke up with a really bad sore throat on Thursday. We also got a few inches of snow in the South..again. Of course, people are still freaking out..again. I'm hoping to feel decent while riding this weekend. I am bummed that I've missed two good weeks of training now..but I guess I'd rather be sick now than in in the spring.

In work news, the 55nine Performance move to the new Georgia Sports Chiropractic complex in Midtown Atlanta is complete. We will be marketing the new complex over at the Southeast Multisport Endurance Expo (SEE-ME) on February 27. Come by and see us! Because Eddie does the Wobble-naught bike fittings for them, the Kenda Pro Cycling team with Frankie Andreu will be making a visit to sign autographs in our booth!
