Sadie

I recently decided to volunteer for the Southeast German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue. Porter, one of my own dogs, was a rescue and he is the sweetest thing ever. A week ago, Sadie was delivered. She is a purebred German Shorthaired Pointer up for adoption and spending time with us in the meantime. She is getting used to living in a house, being with other dogs, running on trails, and doing very well. She is about 2-3 years old and will make someone a great companion.

From what I know, she was saved from death in rural TN and turned in to a shelter. I think someone left her tied up to a tree with a chain because she has a nice scar on her neck. Poor thing. So, while it's probably not the wisest thing to do while I'm in school AND race season has begun..I am really happy to have a small part in saving this girl's life and helping to find her a new one.
